Week Six- First Prototype Market

Ruth Johnson:
This week was our first practice market. It was really rough and thrown together and from it we got a lot of good feedback from the visitors that came to our stall.
We realised we needed to really improve our decoration and stall atmosphere, so getting some red fabric and other thematic decorations to really create a more exciting and inviting tone. (We basically need to go ham with the colour red.)
We also talked about how we need to really hone in on what we're trying to do with the writing on our paper. Wether this is going to be real casual or quite deep and personal. Would we need to create prompts for this? Or somehow emotionally prepare our customers so we aren't just throwing stuff on them which won't actually produce anything meaningful without some sort of preparation.
We also thought it could be cool to experiment with different size cranes to create a bit of a challenge for the more adept customers we get. This is cause we had a couple instances of people who were already familiar with origami and didn't get the same challenging experience that most people received from our stall. Also having a size range would create more visual contrast and appeal when we display them.
