Week Eight- Final Prototype Market

Ruth Johnson:
This week was our final prototype market, we did well at taking a lot of the feedback forward from the first prototype market and making these changes this week. By now we've also already gotten a lot of our decorations ready and so we were able to make a better replica of how our stall might look overall. This week was when we discussed further in detail how we wanted to arrange the hanging paper cranes. In this trial market we were hanging all of the cranes participants made on string hanging above how heads, however we discovered this was really unpractical as we kept bumping into it which is a health and safety hazard. We're thinking of maybe just hanging a few premade cranes as decoration in the above corner, and having the other cranes on the wall? (as shown in floor plans below) Also in the images below are the notes we took from the verbal feedback we were given in this practice market.

David Huang:
Run Sheet:
4pm – 6pm, Tuesday 3rd of October 2017
·         Stick our Red Cloth to the Wall using masking tape.
·         Painting some cardboard pieces with red paint and then hanging them from the curtain railing.
·         Hang strings from the curtain railing to the slates above the wall, this will be hung 1.5m off the ground. We have tested this during our prototype market, the weight of the paper cranes is not heavy enough to damage the railing or slates.
10am – 11:20am, Wednesday 4th of October 2017
·         Individuals who visit our stalls are instructed to write on their given piece of paper using red pen, what they think of when they see the colour red. The individuals are then instructed to follow the steps of how to fold a paper crane by members of group 32.
·         After they have a completed paper crane in their hands, they are then instructed to hang their paper cranes up using masking tape to the strings.
11:30am – 12:30pm, Wednesday 4th of October 2017
·         Pack up; take down all the paper cranes that are stuck to the strings, take down the strings, take down the red cloth stuck to the wall. Reset how the tables were from the day before. - David

Flore:
From this prototype market we finally had a clear idea of how it would look on the day. We have decided we need to make a bander for the real day to show what we are making and also bring in more red objects to stand out as a stall. We also found out that we are next to two markets that use a lot of noise and music and because we are a stall that needed to speck and interact with the people this could be an issue. We have decided to have the paper cranes hang down. (Flore)
