Week of reviews from our market: Immaterial Labours
Our stall was visited frequently as we were the second stall in the market. We laid out five seats as seen in the second photo, for market visitors to sit down and be taught how to make paper cranes. The five seats were usually filled up with market goers, however we encountered a few people who weren't so enthusiastic about learning how to make paper cranes. Our stall was a success overall as we managed to fill up a whole cloth full of paper cranes from the market goers, we decided to give the cloth full of paper cranes to one of the stalls for "The Market of Abandoned Materials"

Here are some photos of us setting up our market the day before:
This week was our market. We spent the night before setting everything up and making the signage and cranes to make the aesthetics of the stall look good and covered in our chosen colour to section us from the other stalls. I feel as though we came a long way from out practice market and we went into this market with a better idea of what the space was to look like. For our final piece we chose to put the cranes on one big of fabric streaming down. This made it easier for the participants as they weren't having to bend over us to put their cranes on the string above. Through getting people to write their emotions on the card before they folded it gave more meaning to the crane in the end. It was also really interesting to see what people thoughts were on the colour. there were many response with red meaning some crazy things such as the obvious love, hate, we had people that wrote raspberry jam, First aid, fire and many other things. through this projects I have gained a new appreciation of origami and the difficulties of it. and also more emotions towards colours that i wouldn't have thought about as much before this.

We set up our stall as a group the even before the market. We gathered cardboard and cut up a sign saying 'Origami' we also made recut the paper for tomorrow and only used red chairs to really have our emotional colour stand out.
Market Day:
I think our market was really successful and we continuously had people coming to our stall to have an emotional experience with the colour red and also making a origami paper crane. We worked really well as a group, which helped me build my confidence to be more talkative to the people coming to our stall. At the end of the market our well for handing up the cranes was full. Overall our groups creativity and hard work was accomplished as we learnt to work together and create a market about Immaterial Labours. We stayed really positive even when it got stressful at times and also when we unaccounted so people who seemed bored or blasé. At the end of the market a group from Abandoned Materials market asked us if they could recycle our final artwork for the there market the following week.
